Inflammatory pseudotumor(IPT) is a clinical condition characterized by proliferation of spindle cell, inflammatory cells and small vessels. The IPT was first described in lungs(1)) but has been reported in various anatomical site including orbit, liver, spleen and so on. Because of various anatomical site, the clinical manifestation is various too. Recently, we experienced 65 year-old woman who was diagnosed with IPT of lymph node in splenic hilar or distal suprapancreatic area mistaken for gastric submucosal tumor. We describe such rare case of IPT with a review of literature.
